CHARLES P. MCMANUS

Funeral service for the late Charles Peter Mcmanus, 77, L’ardoise, Richmond County, was held December 17 in Holy Guardian Angel Church, L’ardoise.

Mr. Mcmanus died December 13, 2018.

He served on all three of Canada’s Oberons and was a proud submariner who travelled the world. He worked with the

824 Silver Dart Cadets for 25 years. He was an active member of the L’ardoise Legion, Branch 110 and an avid community volunteer, always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed spending winters in Costa Rica, football, volksmarching, yard sales, reading, tinkering in his garage and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorraine; son, Mike Mcmanus (Bernadine); two daughters, Crystal, Leanne (Troy Conrad); three grandsons, Justin, Keenan, Jacob; two brothers, Brian, Toronto; Jerry, Ottawa; many in-laws; yard sale partner, Tina Macdonald.

Memorial donations may be made to the L’ardoise Volunteer Fire Department, NS Cancer Society or Richmond Strait Hospital.
