From tiny skating reindeer to young figure skating adults in elegant costumes, the Terra Nova Tornadoes skating club were on the ice Tuesday, Dec. 11 in the Christmas spirt.

A large crowd of friends, family, and supporters filled the stands at Glovertown Gardens. Skaters preformed to a modern holiday playlist including Hot Chocolate, Takin’ Care of Christmas and several other upbeat hits.

Grade 10 student Katie Robinson of Eastport preformed Holly Jolly Christmas with Darci Davis and Renee Granberg.

“It was really fun,” she said. “I love doing it every year. This is the second year that we’ve done the Christmas ice show, but I hope we keep doing it.”

Robinson is headed to competition in Botwood with some other skaters from the Terra Nova Tornadoes Skating Club in January.

Following that, the Terra Nova Tornadoes will be hosting a Fun Skate competition in the new year as well as another ice show at the end of their skating season.
