DEC. 8: Satur­day morn­ing break­fast at First Pres­by­te­rian Church, Chatham (cor­ner of Fifth and Welling­ton streets). A de­li­cious and nu­tri­tious break­fast served free of charge from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Ev­ery­one wel­come.

DEC. 8: Christ­mas at the Mu­seum, 505 King St., Wal­lace­burg – Visit with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 pm.; chil­dren’s movies from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ad­mis­sion free, snacks on sale); and clas­sic movie at 7 p.m. – It’s a Won­der­ful Life. DEC. 8: Ju­bilee Cho­rus & Friends presents “Sing We Now of Christ­mas” by Harry Sime­one, 7 p.m. at St. An­drew’s United Church, 85 Wil­liam St., Chatham. A de­light­ful evening awaits, filled with a va­ri­ety of songs of the sea­son fea­tur­ing tenor soloist Jean Giroux and ac­com­pa­nists – play­ing four-hand piano – Leanne Hes­sel and Devon Hansen; not to men­tion wood­wind, brass and per­cus­sion en­sem­bles. A freewill of­fer­ing will be col­lected in sup­port of Chatham-Kent Hospice.

DEC. 8: Meat draw and dance at The Chatham Le­gion, Wil­liam and Col­bourne streets, Chatham. Meat draw from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dance from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., fea­tur­ing Barker Storey Clas­sic Coun­try Band. Satur­day kitchen is open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kitchen open for lunch Mon­day to Fri­day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ev­ery­one wel­come.

DEC. 8: Christ Church, 80 Welling­ton St, W, Chatham in­vites you to La Posada – Mary & Joseph’s jour­ney – Cel­e­bra­tion of the Christ­mas Sea­son, 5:30 p.m. A pro­ces­sion from the church sanc­tu­ary, around the block, re­turn­ing to the church hall, look­ing for a room at the inn. DEC. 8: Come out to hear con­tem­po­rary and tra­di­tional Christ­mas mu­sic pre­sented by the CK Singers at the Jim Kish Theatre in Both­well at 7 p.m. Ev­ery­one wel­come.

DEC. 9: Turkey bingo spon­sored by East Side Pride, at the WISH Cen­tre, 177 King St. East, Chatham, 12:30 p.m. Fea­tures bingo prizes, turkey, ham and cash with a Christ­mas raf­fle ta­ble. Bingo en­try cards are $10, with spe­cials 50/50 cash split $1 each. Raf­fle ta­ble tick­ets are $2 each or three for $5. Must be 18 to play.
