The Chatham-Kent Public Library, in partnership with

St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs, is offering Therapy Dog Saturdays to provide canine comfort and cuddles.

The therapy dogs will visit the Chatham branch on Saturday, once a month, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., beginning Jan. 19. The program will continue on Feb. 16, March 16, April 13, May 11 and June 18.

There are many benefits to the program, according to a media release. Therapy dogs provide canine affection to those unable to have a pet and they are a great way for children to become acquainted with animals, as well as a fantastic stress relief for those struggling with busy schedules.

Everyone is welcome, and no registration is required.
