Elliott was winner
In Andrew Cohen’s Jan. 9 column Trudeau and Trump will survive 2019 — barely, he figuratively raised mocking eyebrows by stating “if Ontario voters could elect the buffoonish Doug Ford”, implying we were foolishly naïve and uninformed.
The voters of the Progressive Conservative party elected Christine Elliot as leader by both popular vote and majority of ridings, only to be overruled by our own electoral college, applying unfair and antiquated qualifiers imposed after the vote count. Our ace was trumped.
