Kings thump Blades

DRES­DEN – The Dres­den Kings scored five second-pe­riod goals in an 8-3 come­back win over the Blen­heim Blades on Fri­day in the Provin­cial Ju­nior Hockey League’s Sto­bbs Divi­sion.

Eli­jah Du­quette scored twice for the second-place Kings (26-8-0-2), who trailed 3-2 in the first pe­riod be­fore 324 fans at the Ken

Hous­ton Me­mo­rial Agri­cul­tural Cen­tre.

Eric Carter and Bren­dan Ritchie each added a goal and two as­sists. Greg Hay, Kenny Chisholm, Nolan Van­denBoorn and T.J. Saunby also scored. Cory Lucier had two as­sists.

Drew Mar­latt led the Blades with two goals and Will Tet­zlaff scored one. Dede Cato and Bai­ley Smith each had two as­sists.

Kings goalie Brett Brochu made 26 saves. Tyler Letch­ford made 44 for the Blades (16-17-2-0).

Also Fri­day, the Lakeshore Cana­di­ens beat the Petro­lia Fly­ers 5-0 at Lanspeary Park in Wind­sor in the open­ing game of the

Out­door Shinny Se­ries. Two more games are slated for Satur­day.
