Thunderbirds contribute at worlds
Mark Matthews had a pair of goals and seven assists as Canada downed the Iroquois Nationals 19-12 at the world lacrosse men’s indoor championship in Langley, B.C., on Monday night.
Halifax Thunderbird players Graeme Hossack (goal) and Jake Withers (assist) helped the Canadian team finish pool play with a 4-0 record.
Thunderbirds’ Cody Jamieson (three goals and four assists) and Kyle Jackson (three assists) led the Iroquois Nationals, who placed second in the pool at 3-1.
