Age 79 of Glenelg, Guysboroug­h Co., passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Country Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Hudson) Hines. Cecelia had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing darts, cards, bingo and doing word puzzles. She was interested in knowing everything about everyone and would ask questions like an interviewe­r. Cecelia is survived by daughters, Heather, Antigonish; Cindy, Calgary; Joni (Doug), Aspen; Colleen, Alberta; sons, Stephen, Antigonish; Danny (Kalysa), Glenelg; grandchild­ren, Kasey, Megan, Lisa, Chelsea, Dawson, Ashton, David, Kevin, Cindy, Allen, Norman, Samar; several great-grandchild­ren; sisters, Verna Styger, Maisie Phinney, Tootsie (Bobby) Cunningham, Ethel (Scott) MacDonald; brothers, Clancy (Helen), Walter (Jeannette), Delbert, Gordon (Helen); sister-in-law, Helen; many nieces, nephews and their families. Cecelia was predecease­d by her husband, Graham; brother, Bruce; brothers-in-law, Clint Phinney, John Styger, Howard Kirk; sister-in-law, Eileen. Visitation will be held today, Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Kirk Memorial United Church, Aspen, from where funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Derek Elsworth officiatin­g. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Glenelg. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada (Nova Scotia Branch). Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the dignified and compassion­ate care of G.W.
