It is with broken hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of our dear mother, June Francis Cosman, 92, of Weymouth North. June passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in Tideview Terrace in Digby, on December 14, 2019. She was the only daughter of the late Adelbert and Sadie (Steele) Prime (both of Weymouth). June is survived by daughters, Alma (Ross) Hayes, Linda Cosman (Lin); son, Ward Cosman (Betty Langille); grandchild­ren, Roline (Brian) Powers, Paula (Nick) Hayes, Donnie (Cheryl) Hayes, Christine (Dave) Gerrits, Johanna (Aaron) Gerrits, Devon (Laura) Gerrits, Melissa (Chris) Mason, Brittney (Brice) Dagrou; 11 greatgrand­children and four great great-grandchild­ren. June was predecease­d by her loving husband, Russell Cosman, of 57 years; and grandson, Jordan Cosman. She was a member of Weymouth Church of Christ, and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years, and was active in many other church activities. She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge 100, Weymouth, and was the District Deputy President of the 2B District. June lived in her early years of marriage in Halifax, before moving to Weymouth North, and several years in Victorvill­e, Calif., before returning to Weymouth North where she lived out her remaining years raising her family. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on December 18th from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. December 19th from Weymouth Church Of Christ, Pastor Darrell Haines officiatin­g. The family would like to thank the Dr. John Black and staff of Tideview Terrace.
