BOLIVER, Ruth Jean

Age 73. Our beautiful mother passed away on December 11, 2019. Born in Halifax, a daughter of Jean Mary and the late Carl William Boliver. Ruth worked for the Nova Scotia Power Corporatio­n for 17 years then left to enter the Home Care profession focusing on the elderly. Mom was a great listener and loved to help the unfortunat­e outside of her Home Care career. Mom was committed to mental and spiritual health and had a gift that touched people in the most special and kind way. Mom enjoyed nature and really, really, really long walks. Our mom was courageous, and a gentle soul that loved to learn, she was the bravest person we ever knew. You will be dearly missed mom and we love you so much. Mom is survived by her children, sons, Joey (Cherie), Shawn, Leigh (Judith), and Carl Skeir; as well as Sarah, the mother of her grandchild­ren, Ryan, Rachel; great-grandchild, Jada; siblings, Carol, Scotty, Maryanne (late Jerry Burns), Dianne (Denny), Chris, Billy and Donna (Mike); uncle, Bobby (Sandra); and aunt, Margaret (George); as well as many nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by aunts, Helen and Irene. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 19th, at 2 p.m., in St. Patrick’s Church, 2263 Brunswick St., Halifax.
