MACDONALD, Theresa Margaret

-

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Margaret Macdonald, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Born in Judique, on March 7, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Rory Angus and Christena Belle ( Beaton) Macdonald. Theresa was a member of St. Andrews Church, Judique; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by five nieces and four nephews. Theresa was predeceased by brothers, Angus John, Ronald ( late Kaye), Donald Francis, Joseph Andrew (Kaye); sisters, Anne Rousell ( late Leonard), Jennie Macisaac (late Allan) and by niece, Darlene Reynolds. Theresa worked as a housekeeper in Boston for over 30 years; always returning home to Cape Breton for the summer. We will so deeply miss our Aunt Theresa, her fierce independence, her generosity and concern for others, her strong Catholic faith, her remarkable memory, and her keen interest in geneology. Aunt Theresa had a great love of Cape Breton Fiddle Music, Gaelic songs, homemade cheese and biscuits, little dogs and a good game of Auction. We want to thank the owners and Staff of The Heritage House in Port Hood, for taking such good care of Aunt Theresa during her stay with them. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 11 a.m. in St. Andrews Parish Cemetery, Judique, with Father Allan Macmillan officiating. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations may be made to St. Andrews Church Building Fund, Judique or to a charity of choice. On-line condolences may be made to: www.invernessfuneralhome.com
