BELLINGHAM, Robert F. "Bobby"

-

Age 84 of Aylesford, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2020 in Villa Acadienne. Born in London, England, he was the son of the late Frederick Robert and Irene Beatrice (Best) Bellingham. He serviced in the Royal Air Force at Sandwich, England where he met his loving wife, Jean. They were married in 1958 and proceeded to have three children. After his term of service in the RAF, Bobby began a computer career which took the family to Scotland. The need for space and secure future brought the Bellingham’s to Canada in 1967. Bobby longed for the country life and in 1973 he realized his dream of owning a farm when he and Jean purchased a property in Heckston, Ont. They spent 23 years on that farm, raising their family along with various livestock, including a substantial flock of sheep. The need for a new adventure in 1996 brought Bobby and Jean to a small apple orchard in Aylesford. It was here they continued to enjoy their retirement and became very involved in the local community. Bobby had many interests, was always very active and participated in many organizations, including the Aylesford Lions Club, the Community Health Board, the Antique Engine Club and many others. He was wellknown for his antique tool display called "Tools with Tales"; which he and his dog partner, Buffy, used to take to the local seniors’ homes and community fairs. Bobby is survived by his adoring wife of 62 years, Jean Bellingham (Hyde); sons, Steven (Denise) and Vincent (Tracey); daughter, Cindra (Gary); six grandchildren and one greatgrandson. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Hwy. 303, Digby, NS B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
