PEITZSCHE, Terrance Jerome "Terry"

Age 66, of Dartmouth, passed away on November 23, 2020, at home. Born in Canso, Terry was a son of the late William and Helen (Gallagher) Peitzsche. Terry had a full career with the Department of Transporta­tion, Province of Nova Scotia. After retirement, he worked at Nature’s Way in Burnside. He was an active member of the Salvation Army, Halifax Citadel Corps. He played the tuba in the band and loved every minute of it. Terry enjoyed bird-watching and fishing. He was an avid hockey fan and loved attending Mooseheads games with his beloved grandson, Kowan. This introducti­on resulted in Kowan becoming a player himself and Terry faithfully took him to his practices and games. "Papa" was his best friend and Papa loved all of his grandchild­ren with all of his heart. He was a proud husband, dad to his three children, grandfathe­r to Kowan, Nyomi and Kobe, brother, and dear friend. Terry often said "The Lord will always have the last say". He loved the Lord with all of his heart. Terry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly (Brace); sons, Andrew, Matthew ( Shannon); daughter, Angela (Luijo) Hernandez; grandchild­ren, Kowan, Nyomi and Kobe. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine (Art) Vassos; brothers, William "Junior" (Janet), Ronnie; and many nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by his brothers, Tony and Carey (Marie); sister-in law, Veronica. Due to COVID restrictio­ns, a private graveside service will be held in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Maj. Orville Cole officiatin­g. A Celebratio­n of Life memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, Halifax Citadel Corps Band.
