Age 88, of Goshen, Guysboroug­h Co., passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Born on November 7, 1932 in Copper Lake, he was a son of the late Roy and Jean (Henderson) Sinclair. He lived and worked on the family farm all his life and belonged to many agricultur­al associatio­ns. Lloyd was a lifelong faithful member, long-serving elder, trustee and choir member of King’s United Church, Loch Katrine. He was a member of Clan Sinclair and was well-known as a local historian and genealogis­t for the local area. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bessie (Anderson); son, Bruce (Dianne), Goshen; daughter, Mary ( Jim), Goshen; grandchild­ren, Peter ( Jessika), Samantha (Colin), Alexander ( Emma), Brianna (Kyle), Nicole (Dylan), Jeremy and Craig Sinclair; great-grandchild­ren, Isabella, Brody and Ethan; brothers-in-law, Milton Rae, John (Shirley) Anderson; nieces, nephews and their families. He was predecease­d by sister, Jeanette Rae. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9th at 2 p.m. in King’s United Church, Loch Katrine with Rev. Meredith Marple officiatin­g. Interment in Goshen Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, seating is limited in the church. Social distancing protocols are to be followed and masks are mandatory. Attendees will be asked to provide their names and telephone numbers upon arrival for the funeral service. Family flowers only please.
