SLAUNWHITE, Lottie "Melissa"

-

Age 82, of Terence Bay, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at home in Ivany Place on January 3, 2021. Born in Terence Bay, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Roy "Butt" and Miranda Slaunwhite. In the early years most of her time was spent back around the river at the camp. It was quite the happening spot back then with family and friends also having camps surrounding the lake. Many great times were had there and melissa’s favorite thing to do was to jump in the old punt with Melvin and row around fishing. She also enjoyed knitting and loved spending time with her family, no matter where they were she always kept an eye on everyone. Melissa is survived by her children, Curtis (Sandra), Scott (Tracey); grandchildren, Jessica ( Matt), Tiffany (Mikie) and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Melvin and brothers, Roy, Ronnie and William. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the QEII Unit 6.2 for taking such good care of her and the staff at Ivany Place. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A graveside service will take place Friday, January 8th at 1 p.m. in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Terence Bay with Rev. Cheryl Rafuse officiating.
