-

Brad Marchand hit a significant plateau on the weekend.

The 32-year-old from Hammonds Plains scored his 300th career NHL goal in a 6-2 loss against the New York Rangers on Friday . All of Marchand’s goals have come with the Boston Bruins, who drafted him in the third round (71st overall) in 2006.

Marchand is only the seventh player in Bruins’ history to hit the mark. He also has 368 career assists for a total of 668 points in 769 games. The former Halifax Mooseheads winger won the Stanley Cup in 2011.
