It is with great sadness and much love that we announce that William Maclean (Billy) age 85 of Pugwash ( Bible Hill), passed away February 28, 2021 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Malagash to the late William and Mae (Moore) Maclean. Billy proudly worked for 35 years at the Pugwash Salt Mine and in retirement became an avid downhill skier. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Verna (Reeves); and his children, Bernie (Lynn) and Pam Mcneil (Chris). Grampy’s mischievou­s sense of humor and teasing will be missed by his grandchild­ren, Lindsay (Mark), Barbie (Paul), Chelsea (Chris), Jason (Crystal), Jenise (Kirk), Mary Elizabeth (Jeff), Brandon, Justin; and his 17 great-grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth (Sharon), Lower Onslow; sisters, Dale Treen, Lower Onslow; and Mae Shelly (Frank), Halifax; and sister-in-law, Jean Maclean, Pugwash. He was predecease­d by siblings, James, Jean Erasmus, Anne; and brothers-inlaw, Arnold Erasmus and Oland Treen. The family would like to thank the VON, Dr. Smith, and the Palliative Care Team of Colchester East Hants. Family would also like to thank Dr. Peter Blaikie for his care over many years. Memorial service to follow at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada, Victorian Order of Nurses or Colchester East Hants Palliative Care Program.
