Age 92, of Kentville, formerly Upper Canard, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Lower Canard, she was a daughter of the late Leander and A. Florence (Beckwith) Ells. Margaret was a member of First Cornwallis Baptist Church, Upper Canard; Glooscap Lodge and the Sheffield Mills Women’s Institute. She is survived by daughters, Linda Strong, South Waterville; Debra (Laine) Hooper, Edmonton, Alta.; Jane (Barry) Reid, Kentville; son, Theodore "Ted" (Juanita Flynn), Ontario; grandchild­ren, Stephanie, Ken, Nathan, Cameron, Kimberly and Christophe­r; great-grandchild­ren, Lucas, Adelyn, Vito and Casey. She was predecease­d by her husband, Garth; son, Stephen; sisters, Florence, Vesta, Beth and Greta; brothers, Ted, Stuart and Alfred and son-in-law, Victor Strong. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 19th in First Cornwallis Baptist Church, Pastor Stephen Wheaton officiatin­g. A video webcast of the service will be available at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21st. Burial will take place in Canard Burial Ground. Family flowers only by request.
