The family of Anne Cox is saddened to announce her passing on July 17, 2021 in Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (Crowe) Chisholm. Anne and her husband, Frank raised their family on the family farm in Princeport, where they worked together until their retirement. After retirement they spent 20 winters in Florida, summers at the lake and enjoyed many trips to Europe where they made many friends. Mum was an active member of Old Barns United Church where she was organist and choir director for 30 years. She looked after many people throughout her lifetime, welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and made sure they did not leave hungry. She was an incredibly positive person who cared about people and had a deeprooted faith that carried her through life; a loving mother who enjoyed time with her children, grandchild­ren, and great-grandchild­ren. Anne is survived by her sons, Donald (Denise) Cox, Princeport; Robert Cox, Truro; daughters, Joanne (Randy) Crowell, Bible Hill; Sally (John) Forbes, Clifton; grandchild­ren, Anne-marie (Andrew) Taylor, Laura Cox, Nathan (Emily) Dickie, Megan (Nick Stevens) Crowell, Brendan Crowell; and great-grandchild­ren, Nyomee, Elliott, Sage, Nico and Frankie. She was predecease­d by her husband of 63 years, Frank; brother, Donald Chisholm; niece, Connie (Chisholm) Weinberg. The family acknowledg­es and thanks the VON and the exceptiona­l staff at Wynn Park for the kindness and care provided to Mum and the family. It was very much appreciate­d. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperativ­e, Upper Musquodobo­it. Visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m. Friday, July 23rd in Old Barns United Church with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. also in the church with Rev. Phillip Kennedy officiatin­g. Private family burial following service. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, limited seating and rules of social distancing apply.
