BUTLER, Margaret

Of Dartmouth, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and friend, Margaret Elizabeth Butler. Margaret passed away July 7, 2021 in Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Born on January 21,1948 in L’ardoise, to Thomas and Mary (Martel) Peters. Margaret was the youngest of six children. Margaret devoted her life to caring for her best friend and the true love of her life Gary Butler, whom she was married to for 54 years. She was a loving, caring, kindhearted, inspirational person to so many family members and friends and would not hesitate to give a helping hand where needed. Margaret is survived by her husband, Gary Butler; son, Randy Butler (Emily Calkin); daughter, Sheri-lynn Gehm (Stephen); grandchildren, Breina, Taylor, Jeremy, Ashleigh (Butler), Simon and Samuel (Gehm). She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose, Yvonne, Alma, Francis and Connie. Visitation will be held friday, July 23rd from 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, both in A. L.
