COTTREAU (Keizer) (Robinson) (Wilson), Anne Marie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Anne Marie (Keizer) (Robinson) (Wilson) Cottreau, wife of John Cottreau, at their residence on Bangor Road, Digby Co., early Friday morning, July 16, 2021, aged 81 years. She was born on May 31, 1940 to Walter Boyd Keizer and Marion Eileen (Bauckman) of Clermont, Kings Co.. Arthur Stanley “Stan” Keizer, her father's brother, married her mother after her father died in the Second World War and became her Dad. She was a resident of Nova Scotia her entire life, having also resided on Guinea Road, Clementsport, Annapolis Co., and in Smith's Cove, Digby Co.

She did an excellent job of providing for us when we were little on a very tight budget, sewing clothing and coats plus knitting hats and mittens; making sure there were crafts to do and books to read; cooking and baking up a storm, her flapjacks were especially loved. We never went hungry. Later on she became a second mother to children who dropped by. She was known as “Nannie” to most of her grandchildren, she loved them all dearly and they loved her back just as much. During her lifetime she was a member of many organizations including the Anglican Church in Clementsport and the Clementsport Legion, and was very socially active. She never forgot a name or a face. She had a fantastic memory and could recall events of her lifetime in great detail. She was a very stylish lady and had lots of fun as a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved flower gardening and watching wildlife. She was devoted to her husband and also to her daughters, chatting with us often. She enjoyed being updated on her family and friends and savoured every little bit of news that came her way. Those chats will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her third husband, John “Chummy” Cottreau; her beloved half-brothers: Paul Keizer (Sharon), Randall Keizer (Tina), Daniel Keizer (Cindy), all of New Brunswick; sister-in-law, Eleanor Keizer (Walter-deceased), Bridgewater; many nieces and nephews; daughters: Sherry Comeau (Robert-deceased), Stewiacke; Wendy Orr (Dale), Ontario; Peggy Robinson (Donald Cleavesdeceased), Moschelle; Cindy Robinson ( Tom Bragard), Middleton; Mary Robinson (Tim Adams), Wellington; grandchildren: Victoria Misener (Jason), Christopher Comeau (Eryn), Amanda Cottreau, Rachel Cleaves, Todd Schnare (Shelly Baker), Jeremy Grant, Gary Robinson, Vanessa Adams; great-grandchildren: Alex Comeau, Wade Higgins, Brayden Comeau, Chloe Comeau, Sophie Comeau, Garrick Weiler, Nickolie Schnare, Jakeup Schnare, Brodee Schnare, Gabriel Grant, Clara Grant, Nathanial Grant; great great-grandson, Kyle Misener; and was looking forward to the birth of her first great great-granddaughter, Abigail White, due in October. She was also blessed to have in her life her step grandchildren and their families: Janine and her children Brittany, Tyler, Keenan, Jadanita, Aryra, Chantal, Machara and Alandra; Chad and his daughters Vienna Rose and Jada; Camille and her children Autumn and Justin.

She was predeceased by both parents and her stepfather; brother, Walter Keizer; her second hus

band, Ronald Wilson, they resided in Clementsport (no children); first husband, Wendell Robinson,

they resided in Smith's Cove, their son Richard in infancy; also their sons, Garth, Brett, Shane, Byron, Ishmael, Lemuel, and Heith in pre-infancy.

Rest in peace, mom/ nannie. we love you so very, very much and will miss you always.
