Flyers send two picks, Gostisbehe­re to Coyotes

The Philadelph­ia Flyers traded defenceman Shayne Gostisbehe­re and a second-round and seventh-round picks in 2022 to the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday to clear cap space.

Gostisbehe­re has two years left on his deal with a cap hit of $4.5 million per season. The trade leaves the Flyers with 13.9 million in cap space this off-season with 16 players currently under contract.

Elsewhere, the Detroit Red Wings acquired breakout goaltender Alex Nedeljkovi­c from the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2021 third-round draft pick and the rights to pending free agent goalie Jonathan Bernier.

The New York Rangers signed former Tampa Bay forward Barclay Goodrow to a six-year, $21.85 million contract.
