Age 59, of Dartmouth. It is with great sadness we announce the death of Darlene Cavanagh on July 21, 2021 in Northwood Terrace. She died peacefully in her sleep. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of Louise (Cluett) and the late Arnold Barron. Darlene loved spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and going to “The Hub”. She fought a long battle with Huntington’s with bravery and strength, and would still give you a big smile. We would like to quote Darlene as she always said “Love You Forever”. In addition to her mother Louise, she is survived by her daughter, Katie; son, Thomas (Andrea Sigrist); grandchild­ren, Brayden, Avery, Chance, and Rory. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Barron (John Carter); niece, Jennifer Barron; nephew, Michael Wilson; great-nieces,lily and Lydia Barron. She was predecease­d by her grandparen­ts, Loran and Mabel Barron, Esau and Alfreda Cluett; sisters, Wendy Wilson, Debbie Barron, Linda Marr; brother, Kevin Barron; nephew, Kyle Dowd; great-nephew, Kai Barron. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, September 3rd, with the funeral service immediatel­y following at 2 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Interment to take place in Center Rawdon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada or Northwood Foundation.
