Robert is survived by his sisters, JoAnn Richards (Frank), Crowes Mills; Norma (Martyn) Webster of Spruce Grove, Alta.; his brother, Harold of Truro and his daughter Carrie and her children, Calgary, Alta.; his nephew, Kevin Richards and his children, Emma and Quinn, Ottawa, Ont.; niece, Cheryl Webster and her sons, Austin and Ryley, Spruce Grove, Alta.; nephew, Travis (Richelle) Webster and their sons, Ayden and Gavyn, Spruce Grove, Alta. Robert followed in his fathers footsteps and was a truck driver. He loved trucking. He was always happiest when he was behind the wheel of his 18 wheeler. He drove for BFI Disposal, Grimshaw Trucking and finally Circle T where he stayed until he retired. Robert had a great love for camping. He spent many years camping in British Columbia, Alberta and even as far east as Nova Scotia in his prided dually and 5th wheel. He then spent many many summers at the Lions Campground in Devon where he was content sitting around campfires with all his friends. He loved his pet bunnies. He referred to them as “the kids”. He could be found day and night sitting on his lawn chair under the trees with his bunnies. Robert enjoyed spending time with his young nephews. He would play cars with them and even sing karaoke with them. He loved to play a game of cribbage or two with Martyn and Austin. A Celebration of Life will be held in Devon, Alta. Robert is coming home to Nova Scotia where a family/friends burial will be held in Belmont Cemetery at a later date.
