With sadness the family of Eileen Myers (Lewis), 94, announce her peaceful passing on May 3, 2022, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Woodside, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Lewis. Eileen was predecease­d by her husband, Maynard Myers. She is lovingly remembered by her children, David (Christine) Myers, Donald Myers, Sandy (Terri) Myers, Wayne (Angela) Myers, Catherine (Tim) Gabriel and Suzanne (Mary) Switzer; siblings, Allan (Norma) Lewis, Marilyn Saldon, Gary (Darcel) Lewis and Diane (Bob) Shufelt. She is survived by numerous grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predecease­d by brother, Frank (Peggy) Lewis; sister, Doris (Rusty) Bedell; brother-inlaw, Herb Saldon; daughterin-law, Betty Myers and granddaugh­ter, Jennifer Myers. Eileen worked for many years as a personal care worker at the Halifax County Hospital. She was a woman of faith, having been a devout member of St. Thomas More Parish and the Catholic Woman's League, as well as a eucharist minister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Arrangemen­ts are under the care of A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7th in St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 15 Caledonia Rd., Dartmouth. Funeral mass will follow in St. Thomas More at 11 a.m. with Father Toochukwu Okafor officiatin­g. Interment to take place at 1:30 p.m. in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 33 Old Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville.
