Age 55, passed away on May 1, 2022 in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Chris was born in Sydney. He grew up in Cole Harbour and resided in Dartmouth throughout his life. Chris is predecease­d by his father, Peter Casey (2003). He is survived by his girlfriend, Ella “Ella Mae” Drysdale; mother, Jean (Gillis) Casey, of Wolfville; sister, Aine Casey (Art Gogan), of Grand Pre; brother, Jeffrey Casey (Crystal Moore and Alexa), of Waverley; nephews, Jacob and Nicholas Tan; and niece, Mira Tan. Chris was an avid reader and NHL fan, with waffling loyalty between the Montreal Canadians and Toronto Maple Leafs. Chris would travel to see games at every opportunit­y. Travelling to Florida and enjoying Disney, especially the water parks and the beaches, was a passion of Chris’ and he often spent many months of the year planning his next trip. Chris was employed by the Dartmouth Adult Service Centre (DASC) in varying capacities for 28 years. Chris possessed a great love of family and would be his happiest at the many family events. He will be greatly missed.
