Age 89, of Kentville and Medford, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Medford, where he was most happy. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Ethel (Reading) Cochrane. He served three years with the Artillery Reserve and later as an aircraft electricia­n with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces, retiring with the rank of Master Warrant Officer after 35 years of service. Muck played hockey for the RCAF Flyers in Europe from 1955-1959. He coached the Ottawa Falcons to two Canadian Armed Forces fastball championsh­ips in 1970 and 1975. He was the head coach of the Kentville Wildcats Metro Junior A and the Valley Wildcats AAA teams. Muck served as assistant coach with the Acadia University Hockey Axemen from 1980-1986, where he was inducted to the Hockey Honour Roll. He was also inducted into the Windsor Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Strong); daughter, Lucinda Reading, Almonte, Ont.; stepchildr­en, Cheetie Malouin, Kamloops, B.C. and Billy Malouin, Comox, B.C.; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. In addition to his mother, he was predecease­d by members of the Reading family. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10th in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A video webcast will be available at that time. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations in memory may be made to the Don Wells Memorial Hockey Award (in support of a hockey Axemen student athlete).
