Harrison (Otto), Elaine Patricia

June 7, 1927 May 6, 2022. It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Harrison announce her passing away on May 6, 2022. Born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late John Pius and Flora Conrad Otto, Elaine was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, John (Betty), James (Dorothy), and David. Surviving members of that family include brother, Harold (Betty); and sister-in-law, Greta (David). Elaine is survived by her sons, John (Karen), Peter, Ed (Darlene); and daughter, Beverley (Nigel) Harrison-steward; grandsons, Christopher (Samantha), Trevor (Kaisha) Harrison, and Geoff (Keri) Harrison; granddaughters, Sarah (Juffah) Tamula, and Chloe Harrison-steward; and her great-grandchildren, Roslyn and Chikondi Tamula, and Avlynn, Ronan, and Meleah Harrison. Elaine is remembered as a devoted and much-loved wife and mother, taking an active interest in and support for her husband Pete and their children’s education, and cultural and recreational activities. She was an avid pianist and music lover, traits that she passed along to her family. After 70 years of marriage, her husband Pete passed away on May 9, 2020. Almost 2 years to the day, Elaine passed away peacefully at the QEH with her two sons Peter and Ed at her bedside. Special thanks go out to all the staff, nurses, caregivers and physicians at Andrews of Stratford, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their excellent care, dedication and support for Elaine and Pete.
