SYLLIBOY, Mary Marlyn

Age 71, passed away on May 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Sylliboy Sr. and Elizabeth Marr-sylliboy. Marlyn worked as a bartender and waitress at Abenaki Motor Inn, also for N.A.D.A.C.A. as well as Leather and Crafts. She enjoyed Bingo, sci-fi and crime movies, and attending the Powwow. Marlyn loved having fun and laughing, but most of all she loved being with her family and having family gatherings. Marlyn is survived by her best friend, Gregory Chase; daughters, Bernadette (Vernon) Sylliboy, Esgenoôpet­itj, N.B., Tracy Sylliboy, Millbrook, Dawn Marie (Mark) Sylliboy, Millbrook; stepdaught­ers, Catherine Paul, Indian Brook, Sherry Paul, West Gardiner, ME; brothers, Benjamin Sylliboy Sr., Millbrook, William Sylliboy Sr., Millbrook, Brian (Pauline) Sylliboy, Kahnawake, QC; adopted brother, John C. (Vicky) Gloade; grandchild­ren, Vanna Rose Mitchell, Sage Sylliboy, Brent Sylliboy, Kevin Sylliboy, Nathan Sylliboy, Jessica Sylliboy, Michaela Julian; greatgrand­children, Aria, Ace, Nate, Joseph, Ashton, Jasmine, Skyren, Princeton; godchild, Garrett Gloade; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, Marlyn was predecease­d by brother, Stephen John Sylliboy; and grandson, Skyren Sylliboy. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 12th beginning at 4 p.m., in Millbrook Seniors Centre, Millbrook until time of Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 14th at 11 a.m., in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiatin­g with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
