TUCKER, Mary Sophia “Sophie”

Age 79 of Lower Sackville, passed away in the QEII Health Sciences Centre on May 10, 2022. Born in Little Bras ‘Dor, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sadie Carey. Sophie attended the Sackville Legion with her husband Gord. Together they travelled the world extensivel­y. She loved to cookespeci­ally her tasty soups and fishcakes- and was in the restaurant industry her entire life. She owned and operated Tuckers’ Fish and Chips in Toronto. During COVID19, as things became quieter, she enjoyed her scratch tickets, keeping a neat yard, watching tv gameshows. Time spent with family, especially her three adored grandsons, was cherished. Her patience, big heart and generous nature will be missed by her family and friends. Sophie is survived by her daughter, Susan (Jeffrey) Kallenbach, Bristol, Conn.; son, Gord Richard (Monique) Tucker, Winchester Ont.; daughter, Brenda
