It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r, sister and friend. Sheila Ann (Organ) Lawlor, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 8, 2022, at the age of 80 in the Palliative Care VG Site QEII. Diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s) in August 2020, her battle with this disease was maintained with grace and courage. She was a daughter of the late Gordon and Ada (Nash) Organ. To all who loved and knew her, she was loving, kind, generous and known for her great sense of humour. She was an amazing cook, and enjoyed hosting many dinner parties. She loved spending time at the cottage, cruising around the lake with Mike. Sheila enjoyed traveling, her and Mike attended many conference­s and convention­s which took them across Canada many times. They enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and spending time in Florida. Sheila was a homemaker for many years. As her children got older she went to work at Simpsons selling cosmetics. Anyone who knew Sheila, knows how much she enjoyed the makeup industry. Then she went to work at Scotiabank and met many new friends and enjoyed meeting the customers. She was a member of the Dartmouth Firefighte­r Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years. They were involved in supporting the burn unit of the VG hospital in raising funds. Sheila is survived by her loving husband, Michael, of 64 years; her daughter, Kathy (Ken Rankin); sons, David (Shelly) and Terry (Donna); grandchild­ren, Ashley (Jeremy) Clements, Stephen Rankin (Michlyn), Timothy, Jennifer, Scott and Sean; great-grandchild­ren, Aubree and Noah Clements who were the light of her life; sister, Joan (Fred Prior); and brother, Gordon (Nancy). Predecease­d by nephew Eric Organ. The family would like to thank the many friends who visited Sheila during her illness, residents of Waterville Condominiu­m complex.

Nick and the Doctors from the Palliative Care team for their care and being a strong support. Victorian Order of Nurses and homecare from Paramed.
