It is with great sadness that the family of Grace E. Macdonald (Angus), age 97, of Amherst, NS, announce her passing at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS, on May 30, 2023. Born in Linden, NS, Grace was a daughter of the late Maynard and Mary (Atkinson) Angus. Grace was very actively involved with the Cumberland Y’s Menettes Club and was a member of the St. Stephen’s United Church in Amherst. Grace took great enjoyment from time spent with her grandchild­ren and dearly loved any opportunit­y to see her great grandchild­ren and to hear about their latest adventures and accomplish­ments. Grace is survived by son-in-law, Gary Dupuis; grandchild­ren, Ben Dupuis (Tara), Halifax, and Megan Macdonald (Graham), Calgary; and, five great-grandchild­ren, Ella and Logan, Halifax and Endeavour, Maverick and Oaklynn, Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was predecease­d by her husband, Russell Macdonald; daughter, Deborah Dupuis; sisters, Marion Smith, Della Macneil, Helen Bryson, Hazel Prescott and Millie Hall; and brothers, Harold Angus, Jamie Angus and Albert Angus. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-9906). Cremation has taken place. A Celebratio­n of Life will take place later this summer, with burial to follow in the Renwick United Church Cemetery, Linden, NS. Donations may be made in Grace’s memory to the Trinity St. Stephen’s United Church or to the Renwick Cemetery.
