Kelly passed away suddenly June 1, 2023, with family by her side. Kelly was born October 13, 1977, at the Aberdeen Hospital to her late parents, Kenneth and Alice Mae Francis, of Pictou Landing. Kelly was the definition of happiness. She was so full of life and love. Kelly loved to spend her summers at her camp, on Maligomish Island. She also loved helping with events in her community. She enjoyed helping with the annual fishing derby, youth moose hunt and Elders Retreat. Kelly loved her family dearly, and never missed the opportunit­y to tell them how much she loved them. Kelly is survived by her husband, Andrew and her son, Andy; siblings, Billy (Jordan), Tina (Eric), Troy, chosen siblings, Daniel, John, Tonya. She is also survived by sister and brother-in-laws, Stephanie, Sylvia, Melissa, Erika, Amy, Stanford and Alfred. Kelly had many nieces, nephews, godchildre­n and aunts and uncles, all who were dear to her heart. Besides her parents, Kenny and Alice, Kelly is predecease­d by her daughter in infancy, Shelly; her brothers, Louie and Kenny Joe; in-laws, Mary Jane and Alfred Young and Walter Bernard; sister-in-law, Rachael. Family will receive friends at her sister, Tina’s house, 56 Harbourvie­w Crescent, Pictou Landing First Nation, starting Monday, June 5, after 3 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, June 7th, at 11a.m., in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, PLFN with Father Tom Macneil presiding.
