LANGILLE, Elsie
September 27, 1934 – February 23, 2024. Age 89 of Moncton (formerly of Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, NS), passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, at The Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care Unit). Born in Belleoram, NL, on September 27, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Zinah and Jane (Hacquoil) Fudge, (St. Jacques, Fortune Bay, NL). A beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed by daughters, Millie Mason, Barbara (Tom) Hood, Wanda Langille; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sister, Jessie Lomas; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Fudge. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ivan H. Langille; daughters, Sherry L. Belyea and Rose M. Jennings-westcott; brothers, Clyde and Lloyd Fudge; sisters, Isabella Mackay and Lorraine Fudge; grandson, Joel Westcott. Elsie was a passionate gardener, spending most of her time outside in her well manicured gardens. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed reading, being active, going for walks around Allen Heights and trips to Allen Heights Beach. She enjoyed the simple things in life: Tim Hortons, baking, short road trips, time spent with her special long-time friends. Elsie is remembered for her quick wit and keen sense of humor. It was particularly evident in her storytelling of her unique adventures with her husband (Ivan) fishing the local lakes and shores of St. Margaret’s Bay. The family would like to thank the nurses of the Palliative/failing Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital for their compassionate care, guidance and assistance during Elsie's stay. No visitation or funeral will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at The Moncton Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Rd. (506) 852-3530. A book of condolences can be signed at:
