November 15, 1933 - March 05, 2024. In loving memory of Verna Moore we would like to announce her passing at the age of 90. Her life began in Milford Station, Nova Scotia, helping her parents on their dairy farm. She married her beloved husband, Samuel Moore, on February 12, 1955 with whom she raised six children, Sue, Debbie, Billy, Janice, Brenda and Verna, in Nova Scotia. In 1981, she moved to Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to join her husband who was working in the area. Her love of the area and the people in Rocky made it their forever home. Verna could not be beat in stamina, working during the day at Bishop Law Firm, Civic Tire, Esso Resources; nightly she completed janitorial contracts at Chatney Dental, Aspen Dental, Social Services, and MD of Clearwater only to name a few. Even with her high work performanc­e and dedication to so many facilities within the community she always found time to care and support her family. Verna’s passion was the outdoors, long walks with her family and pets. She enjoyed gardening and hunting to provide food for her family. Verna is survived by her five daughters, Heather (Sue) Benz, Debbie Moore (Gary), Janice Mckeen (Rob), Brenda White (Steve), Verna Wagoner (Danny); along with her grandchild­ren, Amber Dunstall (Jay), Justin Dunstall (Philippa), Sam White, Billy White, Jeffery Carpentier, Chelsea Carpentier, Keely Carpentier, Nikki Carpentier; great grandchild­ren, Adelle, Tristan, Rowan, Anna, Tom, Colin, Blaire, Cooper, Ember, Nixon, Blakely, Bostyn, Graydee. Verna is predecease­d by her husband, Samuel and son, Billy but leaves her two sisters, Jean Carroll of NS and Freda Connors of NB to remember her. Viewing will be held at the Rocky Funeral Home Thursday, March 14th at 6p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, March 16th at 11a.m. Date of summer interment in NS to be determined at future date. In lieu of flowers for Verna Moore donations can be made to ROAR - Rocky Animal Rescue Society.
