Running backs on the move in busy off-season

-

The Baltimore Ravens have made a big addition to their backfield.

Former Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry is signing a two-year deal worth $16 million, per ESPN'S Adam Schefter. Schefter adds the deal could be worth up to $20 million with $9 million fully guaranteed.

Henry was one of among many star running backs that have been on the move during a busy NFL off-season.

The Houston Texans are expected to acquire running back Joe Mixon from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mixon will replace Devin Singletary, who has agreed to a deal with the New York Giants.

The Giants were in the market for a running back after Saquon Barkley agreed to a three-year, $37.75 million deal with the rival Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

Running back Tony Pollard agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract with the Titans on Monday.

Pollard and second-year player Tyjae Spears are the new face of the Tennessee running game to replace Henry.

Pollard's deal matches the reported value of the Bears' agreement with D'andre Swift, a free agent who played for the Eagles last season.

Pollard rushed for 3,621 yards with 23 touchdowns in 79 games (23 starts) with the Cowboys.

Swift agreed to a threeyear, $24 million contract with the Bears. He led the Eagles in rushing with a career-high 1,049 yards, which ranked fifth in the NFL, on 229 carries with five touchdowns in 2023.

Elsewhere, quarterback Kirk Cousins agreed to a four-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

The former Minnesota Vikings pivot, who will be 36 before playing his next regular-season snap, was tied for the NFL lead with 18 touchdown passes when he suffered the Achilles injury eight weeks into the 2023 season.

The Carolina Panthers continued reconstructing its offensive line on Tuesday with a four-year, $53 million contract agreement with guard Damien Lewis.

The Eagles agreed to terms on a one-year deal with offensive lineman Matt Hennessy.

Defensive tackle Daquan Jones re-signed with the Buffalo Bills.

The New England Patriots re-signed wide receiver Jalen Reagor to a one-year, $1.3 million deal.

Defensive lineman Clelin Ferrell, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, will reportedly sign with the Washington Commanders.
