HARTLEN, Scott Christopher

-

Age 47, Valley. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Scott Christopher Hartlen on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Scott fought a courageous battle with long term illnesses since the age of fourteen. He was the true example of a warrior. Scott was born in Halifax, on April 17, 1976. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Jennifer and their sons, Nicholas, Jaden and Landen; his loving parents, Betty and Arthur; and his brother, Glenn. Scott lived a full life. He had many passions including motorcycles, the gym, bowling and driving his mustang. Most of all was his love for baseball, he always left it all on the field. This dedication served him well in life as he went on to a successful business career. Scott’s love for people shined through in his dedication to his community. Scott will be missed by many. We, as his family, would like to thank QEII nursing staff of 6A and the amazing transplant team. We would also like to thank the community for the outpouring of love and stories. It has been a comfort in this difficult time. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or a charity of your choice. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19 from 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service on Wednesday, March 20 at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Webcasting will begin at 1:58 p.m. (AST) and is available along with online condolences at: www.colchesterCommunity.com
