Of River John, in his 86th year passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. James leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Audrey; children, Kelly Yantzi (Myron), Kevin Langille (Sue-ellen), Florence Gates (Brian), Jean Langille (Darryl), Sydney Langille (Connie), Charlie Langille (Wendy); grandchildren, Brad, Sarah, Gina, Devon, Jocelyn, James, Alex, Abby, Tabatha and Ethan; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Lois, Stewart, Iola, Walton, Irene, Hilda and Benny. Predeceased by his parents, Sydney and Christine (Macintosh) Langille; siblings, Evelyn, Annie, Walter, Sydney, Roland; sisterin-law, Marg Gratto. James was a welder for 36 years working for King Equipment. He was always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and even more happy to play a practical joke on a friend or loved one. When not working, he was a lover of the outdoors. You could often find him working in the woodpile or cutting grass. He always made sure there was enough wood for the winter. James was a lover of animals, big and small, from a Belgian horse to the smallest hummingbird and everything in between. James’ greatest love was his wife, Audrey. Together since their school days at the Mountain Road School, you rarely saw one without the other. Dad’s passing leaves a huge hole in the family, but don’t worry Dad, we will take care of Mom. This is not good bye, “it’s so long, we will see you again!” In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Condolences at: www.mmcfunerals.com
