LANDRY, Harold Edward

-

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Halifax on March 17, 2024, at the age of 78, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Harold was born on July 4, 1945, in Halifax, to Helena Christina Landry (Doyle (Bobitt) and Harold Edward Landry Sr. He was a skilled tradesman, working as both a plumber and automechanic, and later found joy in driving a taxi. Harold's friendly demeanor made him beloved among his customers, as he enjoyed conversing with them and sharing his stories. In addition to his professional pursuits, Harold was passionate about life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time in his garden, enjoying the tranquility of nature, and meticulously cleaning his cherished cars. He also enjoyed casting a line in nearby waters, hunting for deer, moose, and rabbits, and sharing stories with his loved ones in his spare time. He will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and sharing his various opinions with anyone who would listen. Family was the cornerstone of Harold's life. He deeply loved his late wife, Sheila Landry (Young). He treasured every moment spent with his children, Jason (Cindy) and John (Christine), as well as his grandchildren, Ashton, Daniel, Matthew, Kaitlyn (Thomas), and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Amyiah. His siblings also survive Harold: David Landry (Belinda), Linda Horne (David), Diana Brown (Leslie), and Janet Levy (married to her late husband Rod). He shared a special bond with his siblings and cherished their time together. In place of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Harold's memory. Harold Edward Landry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. At Harold’s request no service will be held.
