It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Sharon. Born in Lockeport, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Arieta (Williams) Rhyno. Left to mourn are her children, Timothy Rhyno (Paula), Stacey Stoddard (Anne), Sonya Stoddard, Stephen Stoddard, Stephanie Stoddard and Shawn Stoddard (Deanna); 14 grandchild­ren and 17 great-grandchild­ren; siblings, Anthony Rhyno (Amanda), Todd Rhyno, Susie Nickerson and Guilda Rhyno (Blair); brother-inlaw, Robert Stoddard (Zita) and sister-in-law, Nedra Comley (Stoddard); many nieces and nephews; remaining aunt, Vivian Williams and her best friend for over 75 years, Gail Hemeon. Besides her parents, Sharon was predecease­d by her husband, Sheldon Stoddard; son, Sheldon (Shelly) Stoddard Jr.; brothers, Keith, David, Bud and Bill; sistersin-law, Noreen and Bunty Rhyno, Beryl and Beulah (Stoddard) Atwood; brothers-in-law, Edwin Nickerson, Rawleigh Atwood, Richard Atwood and Fred Comley. Sharon was the captain, MVP and provincial champs of the Lockeport Regional High School basketball team. She was also a member of the High School volleyball team. Sharon would continue her athletic sports as a teammate of the original “Foggettes” softball team. At the age of 18, Sharon moved to Swims Point, CSI where she would start her “SS” family. Sharon was a strong and loyal person. She enjoyed a good game of cards. Sharon also enjoyed spending time with the Christmas club and traveling all over the world with her husband, Sheldon, family and friends. She loved to spend time at the beach, watching Jeopardy, crossword puzzles, gardening and reading. In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice. Arrangemen­ts are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington.
