CHASE, Loretta

-

It is with grieved hearts we announce the passing of Loretta Chase, who peacefully passed on Thursday March 28, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on March 9, 1932, in Halifax, Loretta was a beloved daughter of Robert and Veronica Brown, a family whose bonds she held dear throughout her life's journey. Loretta was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family, especially her grandchildren, knew no bounds. Her eyes sparkled with joy whenever they were around, and her heart overflowed with pride at their every achievement. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating cherished memories that will endure through generations. Her memory is cherished by her husband, William Chase; her sons, Allen and Kevin; and her daughter, Suzanne. Though Raymond, her beloved son, had passed before her, his spirit remains intertwined with hers. She is survived by siblings, Pauline Kendall, Joy Holder, and Bruce Brown. While brother Robert has departed before her, his presence lingers in fond recollections. Loretta's cherished grandchildren, Greggory, Geoffrey, Savannah Rae, Victoria, Nicolas; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Callie held a special place in her heart, each contributing to the richness of her life. Loretta will be desperately missed by all those she's left behind. Our hearts ache with the weight of this loss. She was truly one of a kind, and to be loved by her was a blessing beyond measure. Though she may no longer walk among us, her love will continue to guide and comfort us in the days ahead. Visitation will be held 2-4, 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where a funeral service will place 2 p.m. on Friday, April 5. A reception will follow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of choice in honor of Loretta's memory.
