Sharon Ruth Norton went from her home here on earth to her home in Heaven on April 6, 2024 after an eightmonth battle with brain cancer. She was born in Hamilton, ON to the late William and Miriam Cuthill. She married Elford Norton in 1971. She was a prayer warrior, a woman of great determinat­ion and quick wit and a devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r and sister. She leaves behind her husband and best friend, Elford; three sons, William (Michelle) of Townsend, ON; Joseph (Betty) of Morganvill­e, NS; Thomas (Kerrie-lyn) of Hagersvill­e, ON; grandchild­ren: Jessica, Kyle, Ashley, Kayla and Ariyonna and two great-grandchild­ren and special friends, Jon, Jessica, Wyatt and Graciana. She is also survived by one brother, Bill, and four sisters Joan, Lillian, Cathy and Darlene. She was reunited in Heaven with her parents and her brother Bob. Her life over the last months was lived with peace due to the personal relationsh­ip she had with Jesus Christ. She accepted the Lord as her Saviour when she was 12 years old. This decision shaped and guided the rest of her life. Thank you to the VON who brought so much joy and sunshine to each day, especially Carrie who served her so well. Thank you to Kirk and the staff at Pharmasave for their kindness. Thank you to her church family, Amazing Grace Baptist Church, for caring for Sharon in her home over the last few months. A special thank you to Dr. Silver who went above and beyond her duty to provide Sharon with the best care possible. The family wishes to thank Jon and Jessica who took care of Sharon over the last eight months and were like family to her. Visitation will be held at Kaulbach Family Funeral Home in Bridgetown, today, Tuesday, April 9th from 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Bridgetown with Pastor Brandon Lake officiatin­g on Wednesday, April 10th at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in North Kingston Cemetery.
