-

It is with sadness that we announce that Myrtle, age 88, of Windsor, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII Health Sciences Centre, after a very brief illness. Born in Gormanville, on February 11, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Creighton and Abbie (Mcculloch) White. Myrtle was a very beloved mother, grammy and great-grammy. She married Cyril “Sonny” Lynch on May 15, 1954, in Noel and they spent 50 years happily married before Sonny died on December 12, 2004. She and Sonny were living at the Gladys Manning Retirement Home at the time, where she continued to live for a total of 22 years, and she made a lot of great friends there. She and Sonny enjoyed tenting in early years and then spending time at their camp on Lewis Lake for many years. Myrtle loved playing cards, dominos and doing word searches. She also participated in the Relay For Life for a number of years. One of the highlights of her life was travelling to British Columbia with her sister, Evelyn to visit her niece, Linda, the furthest she ever travelled from home. Myrtle will be sadly missed with much love by son, Wayne Lynch (Sheree Coke); former daughter-in-law, Rhonda Mont (Wade Crowell); grandchildren, Angela Lynch (Damien Romano), their children, Briana and Feron; Patrick Lynch (Nicole Stanson); Abbie Lynch (Aaron Smith), their children, Gracie and Charlie; sisters, Nora (Donald) Cameron and Evelyn (Fred) Uhlman; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and two very special friends, Emma, in Halifax and Rosie, in Grand Manan. Besides her parents and husband, Myrtle was predeceased by brothers and sistersin-law, Wallace (Edna), Blair (Hilda) and Eldon (Laverne) White. The family would like to give much thanks to the special care given to Mom by staff of 4.1 and 4.2 at the Infirmary.
