MACDOUGALL (Macdonald), Mary Anne

With great sadness, yet thankful for a life well lived we announce the passing of Mary Anne (Macdonald) Macdougall of Addington Forks. She died peacefully at home with family by her side. Born in Beaver Meadow on June 2, 1926, she was the daughter of Janet and Alex A. Macdonald. In 1950 she married Joe Macdougall and together they operated a dairy farm in Addington Forks. She was a woman of great faith which sustained her in her everyday life. She was a proud longtime member of St. Ninians CWL. Mom's life was enriched by her faith, family and friends and she was able to enjoy each of those three things up to the end. Mary is survived by her six children, Wayne (Anne), Allan (Elaine), David (Debbie), Monica (Blaise), Leo (Donalda) and Donnie (Jean); her grandchild­ren, Jennifer, David, Nathan, Mindy, Tyler, Janine, Grant, Floyd, Abbey, Brian, Alexis, Joe, Ryan and Rowan; her great-grandchild­ren, Nelson, Iris, Mae, Hayden, Hudson, Sam, Barrett, Helen, Charley and Margot. She is also survived by her brother, Alexander (Angela); along with many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her husband Joe, sisters, Margaret, Christina, brothers, Donald, Allan, David and nieces, Francis Landry and Ann Vanden Hoogen. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, April 22nd in Macisaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11 a.m., Tuesday, in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Rev. Dan Maclennan presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
