ANTHONY, Laurie Reginald

-

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald Anthony on April 23, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro, NS. Born on March 1, 1941, in Toronto, ON, Laurie was the son of the late Reginald and Evelyn (Hennigar) Anthony. He married Alice Bartlett, and they had five children: Michael, Pam, Lynn, Carla and Lesley. Laurie, known by many as Dad or Grampie, lived a life full of love surrounded by friends and family. Laurie retired from Lindsay Construction after more than 40 years of working in the construction industry. If you have ever been on a trip with Laurie, you know he loved to point out the many construction projects he proudly worked on throughout the province. Outside of work, Laurie loved to go fishing, feed the deer, and play cards. He was known to always lend a helping hand and bring joy to those around him. In his later years, you could find Laurie cheering for his favourite teams - the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, enjoying daily car rides through the community and racing his wife in their daily word searches. He loved visits with his friends and family members, often sharing many great stories of the shenanigans he would get up to in the past! Laurie is survived by his wife, Alice; son Michael Anthony (Rose); daughter, Pam Salter (Kevin); daughter, Lynn Conrad (Michael); daughter, Carla Sanford (Bradley); daughter, Lesley Hatt (Jeff); grandchildren, Jason Lavoie (Keri), Tricia Conrad, Nathan Sanford (Elizabeth), Angie Sanford, Cody Conrad (Alex), Michael Conrad, Brandon Salter, Lori Anthony; and great-grandchildren, Paris Conrad, Brooklyn Lavoie, Bryson Lavoie, Payton Conrad, Owen Conrad, Brenna Sanford, Maddy Sandford, Maisy Conrad, Lincoln Conrad, Dex Sanford, Dallas Conrad, and Kash Cossaboom; and sister, Dianne Macdonald (Ted).
