KEAST (Amero), Adeline Ellen “Mommy”, “Nanny”, “Boots”

Age 96 of Acacia Valley, NS, passed away Monday April 22, 2024, at home in Lower Sackville, NS. Born in Hillgrove NS. She was the daughter of late James Hugh Amero and Margaret Josephine (Gaudet). She enjoyed knitting baby blankets, which she gave with love to many, they have travelled around the world. She also enjoyed playing bingo and getting together with family and friends. She was the second mother to many and chosen family to more, due to her loving nature, and always looking for the best in others. She loved to laugh and was always ready with a joke or tease (especially to Jim). Social and outgoing, she made friends wherever she would go. Adeline and Gerry were married 56 years together and they had 8 children, Danny (Dena), New Brunswick, Karen (Jim), Halifax, Trish (Brian), Halifax, Joe (Susan), Halifax, Paul (Suzanne), Arizona, Peter (Tina), Arizona, Natalie (Dave), New Brunswick, Shawn, New Brunswick. She loved her children, 20 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren “Always and Forever”. She also had many nieces and nephews who lovingly called her Auntie and Auntie Boots. Besides her parents she was predeceased by the love of her life, Gerald Patrick Keast; and 10 brothers and sisters, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral to take place at Jaynes Funeral Home in Digby, NS, on Saturday April 27th. Viewing will be 12-1 p.m., funeral will be at 1 pm. with the burial to directly follow. Family flowers only, in lieu of flowers donate to the Heart and Stroke foundation or charity of choice.
