-

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024, at the age of 79. He will always be remembered for his love, laughter, and cherished memories. Paul was born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Paul was a dedicated professional and worked in banking. Later in his career, he transitioned to real estate. Paul was a member of the Ashburn Golf Club for over 50 years, where he built lasting friendships and enjoyed countless rounds of golf. He had an unparalleled love for the game and found solace and camaraderie on the green. Paul enjoyed spending winters in Florida where he found serenity on the beach. Music was one of his deepest loves, especially 50s and 60s music. He found joy in the harmonies and melodies of the genre, and it brought him comfort and happiness throughout his life. He enjoyed driving and listening to music, finding peace and contentment on the open road with his favourite tunes playing. In his final days, Paul was surrounded by the love of his family, the compassionate care of the Palliative Care Team at Victoria General Hospital, and the support of his family doctor, Howard Conter. Their care, kindness and dedication provided comfort during a difficult time, and the family wishes to express their deepest gratitude. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Tamara; his children, Jason (Kellie) Mcivor and Chara (Steve) Mural; and his two grandchildren, Annie and Peter. He is predeceased by his parents, Eunice and Justin Mcivor, and his brother, Elmer. He also leaves behind his brother, Kevin Mcivor. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at J.A. Snow’s Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9th from 2 – 4 p.m., and donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers in his honour. Though Paul may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, forever playing golf under sunny skies and enjoying the harmonies of his beloved oldies music.
