Age 47, of Bridgetown, Annapolis Co., passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born on May 14, 1976, in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of Dewayne W. and Christine L. (Deveau) Corkum. Tony had a lifelong passion for watching wrestling. He enjoyed time fishing off the wharf at Victoria Beach and later worked as a Scallop Fisherman before his illness. Tony enjoyed a good cup of Tim Horton’s coffee and will be sadly missed by his pug dog, Max. Besides his parents, Dewayne and Christine, he is survived by brothers, Kevin (Rosleen) and Andrew Corkum; grandmothe­r, Mona Fredericks; stepchildr­en, Jake and Kelly; step granddaugh­ter, Sadie; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces including nephew, Hunter Purdy; nieces, Hope Corkum, Joleigh and Kara Macdonald; numerous cousins including special cousin and friend, Derek Deveau; former father and mother-in-law, Jim and Gloria Cook. He was predecease­d by grandparen­ts, Willis and Sally Corkum, Stanley Deveau. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Round Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiatin­g. Donations in his memory may be made to Kidney Foundation or Victorian Order of Nurses – Annapolis Valley Branch. The family would like to say a special thank you to the paramedics with E.H.S., staff at dialysis units as well as doctors, nurses and staff at Halifax Infirmary, V.G. and Valley Regional Hospitals as well as Dr. Buckholz and staff at Annapolis Royal.
