HILDEBRANDT, Maureen

-

Heaven gained another angel on May 14, 2024. Maureen “Moe” Hildebrand, passed away with friends by her side in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was the daughter of the late Doug and Enid Hosking and sister to the late Shirley Mascarin and the love of her life, Ron Hildebrand, who she is now reunited with. She is survived by her brother, David Hosking; brother-in-law, Bob Mascarin; nieces and nephews and many friends far and near. Maureen has moved many times in her life, having a lifelong career with the Royal Canadian Airforce. It is in her work, that she met her future husband, Ron. She was a life member of the LFMH Auxiliary, serving as treasurer for over 10 years. Maureen enjoyed doing stained glass work and had a love of cats and had a huge heart helping others. On Thursday nights, she could often be found at Big Al’s Restaurant enjoying a meal with her friends, Bob and Bev. Moe enjoyed being social, and enjoyed being with her friends. Her friend, Tammy recalls Moe coming into her life a number of years ago. They enjoyed dinners, chats and drives together. But what will be missed most about Moe was her enormous hugs! Moe often spoke highly of the VON girls, who cared for her with love and compassion. Moe and Ron enjoyed travelling throughout their life together, especially an Alaskan Cruise that they took together, she often spoke about going on one again someday. Moe, you will truly be missed by so many – especially your hugs and your smile. May you rest easy – until we meet again. Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date (to be announced). Donations in her memory may be made to the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Arrangements are under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. www.mmcfunerals.com
