JACQUARD, Dora Marie

Age 85, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with family at her side. Born March 7, 1934 in Concession, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Gaudet) Saulnier. Dora was a homemaker, having also worked with her husband, George. Everyone will surely remember her for her smile and for the care she had for others, especially for her family. She was very devoted in her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Ambrose CoCathedral Parish and she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, watching birds and going on Sunday drives with her husband. Dora is survived by her children, Anne (Gary) Foote, Junior (Edwina) Jacquard, Doris (Mickey) Muise, Vernon (Dora) Jacquard, Helen Muise (Loran), Fred Jacquard, Debbie (Paul) MacInnis and Kim (John) Muise, as well as by 30 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Also surviving is brother, Camille and sister, Anne Marie. Aside from her parents, Dora was predeceased by her husband, George L. Jacquard; daughter, Anne; brothers, Felix, Joe, Emile, George, Nelson and Gilbert as well as by sisters, Rosalie, Helen and Serita. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening with prayers at 8 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 4th from Saint Ambrose Co-Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
